Company Leadership

The Executor’s Resource management team consists of an experienced core executive group augmented by industry knowledgeable consultants and supported by a highly involved Board of Advisors.

Core Management

Carl Rapp, CEO: Carl “Skip” Rapp, CEO: Mr. Rapp has served as Chief Executive Officer of Executor’s Resource since 2005, and has primary responsibility for setting the vision and strategy of the company. He has over thirty years of experience as a successful entrepreneur, including eighteen years as the founder and president of Hard Corps Sports, a leading technical apparel firm. Mr. Rapp holds a BA from Princeton University and an MBA from Stanford University. He was formerly a Captain in the United States Marine Corps.

Amy McDuffee, Vice President, Marketing and Business Development: Ms. McDuffee manages marketing, business development and client services for Executor’s Resource, creating programs and services that positively impact subscribers and partners. Prior to joining Executor’s Resource in 2008, Ms. McDuffee held senior level positions at Russell Investments, Fire & Police Pension Association of Colorado, and Great-West Life & Annuity Insurance Company, with a primary focus on developing and promoting online personal finance applications. Ms McDuffee has a BA from the University of Wisconsin in Communications and holds the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.

Douglas E. Hopley Jr., CTO: Mr. Hopley is responsible for the Company's product architecture, security infrastructure, and technology systems. He has over 20 years executive level experience in the information technology systems industry and has served as an enterprise architect, systems integrator, and designer of internet hosted environments. Mr. Hopley developed his cutting edge technology management and strategic planning skills in large publicly traded and start-up companies such as Gaiam, Inc., General Dynamics, Netwise, Inc., and Requisite Technology. He holds a MS in Telecommunications from the University of Colorado and BS in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University.

George Deriso, COO: Mr. Deriso is responsible for managing the Company's operational systems and infrastruture. Previously, he was founding partner of Cosmos Partners, a consulting and private equity firm. He has been instrumental as a senior executive or founder of eight technology ventures. Previously, he has also held executive positions in large multi-national companies, including AT&T, Apple Computer, and Gartner, Inc. In addition, Mr. Deriso is an adjunct professor at the University of Colorado Boulder (CU Boulder), Leeds School of Business with the "Certificate of Excellence in Entrepreneurial Studies" program at the Deming Center for Entrepreneurship. Mr. Deriso has a Masters degree from the California State University in Instructional Technology and Multimedia and an undergraduate degree from the California State University in Liberal Arts. He is an Advisor for CU Boulder's Technology Transfer Office and a Director on the board of the Deming Center for Entrepreneurship.

Founder

Myra Salzer. Ms Salzer is a nationally renowned Certified Financial Planner® professional and author. She is the President of The Wealth Conservancy, Inc., a financial advisory company for individuals with inherited wealth. The Executor's Resource vision was conceived by Ms. Salzer, and she has been the driving force in bringing the idea to action. Ms. Salzer holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.

Board of Advisors

John Farmakis, Director of the Retirement Relationship Management Team for Blackrock’s GPC business. Mr. Farmakis and his team are responsible for Blackrock’s overall sales, business strategy and relationship management efforts relating to Merrill Lynch’s retirement group. Mr. Farmakis has over 14 years sales and management experience in the financial and retirement services industry. Previously, he was a member of the BISYS executive management team and was responsible for the institutional business development efforts for BISYS Retirement Services throughout the United States. Mr. Farmakis received a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Political Science from Williams College. He is an active member of several industry associations including SPARK, Retirement Services Roundtable and NICSA.

Walter Kingsbery, Partner in Kingsbery, Johnson, Foster & Love LLP in Boulder, Colorado. Mr. Kingsbery is a highly regarded attorney whose practice specializes in estate, gift and trust planning and formation and operation of tax exempt organizations. Mr. Kingsbery has served on the boards of several non-profit organizations and has chaired the boards of the Developmental Disabilities Center and Global Response. He earned his BBA from Texas A & M University and holds a law degree from Harvard Law School.

Thomas Richards, Recently retired as Vice President and Department Head, Agency Development, Northwestern Mutual Financial Network where he provided leadership and strategic direction to the company’s field agents in the area of strategic planning, financial planning and management and a range of operational capabilities. Prior to his corporate staff experience Mr. Richards was Managing Partner for Denver and was President of Northwestern Mutual Managing Partners Association. Mr. Richards holds a BA degree in Economics from Dartmouth College.

Kenneth (K.C.) Schwarz, CEO, USAV Group, LLC in Thornton, Colorado. K.C. Schwarz is a thirty-year business professional with senior management and leadership experience in engineering and technology operations. Mr. Schwarz has served in both large and small organizations as an engineer, manager, senior executive, and CEO. Included in his varied experience is co-founder and CEO of Action Networking, VP Production for Breece Hill Technologies, VP Technology Research at Hanifen Imhoff and VP Information Systems at Ball Aerospace. Mr. Schwarz earned a Bachelors Degree in Engineering at The Air Force Academy and a Masters in Engineering Management from Stanford.

John A. Warnick, Counselor and Attorney at Law at the Law Office of John A Warnick. Previously he was a senior partner at Holme, Roberts and Owen in Denver, CO. Mr. Warnick has nearly 30 years of experience in tax planning, purposeful trusts, multi-generational wealth transfer planning, philanthropic consulting, family office support, family governance and family business transition planning. He has also pioneered new trust distribution and governance models which will assist trust makers and trustees in their quest to assure that wealth contributes to positive growth in the lives of beneficiaries. He is recognized nationally as one of the leading voices in support of "purposeful trusts" and speaks frequently to conferences of estate planning attorneys and financial advisors. Mr. Warnick earned his BA, Magna Cum Laude from Brigham Young University and his JD from George Washington University.

Bruce Williams, Vice President and General Manager of the Business Process Management Solutions Group for Software, AG, a $1 billion global software firm. In this capacity he is the senior executive responsible for the performance of the WebMethods BPM line of business. His primary focus is the Company’s relationships with senior executives within customers and prospect accounts. Previously, Mr. Williams was Chairman and CEO of Savvi International Corp, a business solutions company specializing in Lean, Six Sigma and other methods of process and process improvement for businesses in emerging markets. Mr. Williams is also co-author of Six Sigma for Dummies, Six Sigma Workbook for Dummies, Lean for Dummies and BPM Basics for Dummies. Mr. Williams holds a dual Master of Engineering, in Technical Management and Computer Science, which he completed in 1988 from the University of Colorado and Johns Hopkins University. He first graduated as a Bachelor of Science, Physics and Astrophysics, from Colorado in 1978.

Allyson Zoellner, Independent marketing consultant. Previously Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Old Mutual Capital. Ms. Zoellner also held similar positions at Great-West Retirement Services and INVESCO Retirement Services. Ms. Zoellner has extensive marketing management experience and expertise in brand building, customer analytics, advertising, public relations and targeted communications across multiple channels of the financial services industry. Ms. Zoellner has a BS in Finance and Marketing from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
