At Executor’s Resource, Inc. we are dedicated to providing you with the highest quality services in the most secure manner.  Our business is intent on bringing you the most technically advanced and secure solutions to help you organize and settle your estate.

The security of EstateLogic has been a key design principle from day one and remains the most important aspect of our business.  To this end the following steps have been taken to ensure your privacy.

Estate and Legacy Transfer Process:

EstateLogic has been designed for your use today while allowing trusted persons to access your information after your death. The death of a registered user may be reported to Executor's Resource by providing a copy of that registered user’s death certificate. In turn, Executor's Resource will keep that registered user’s account open at no cost for 6 months starting from the day that Executor's Resource receives the death certificate.

We recognize that in preparing your future executor, personal representative, trustee or trusted person for handling your affairs on your behalf, you may choose to share your login credentials with that person. If so, that person will continue to have access to your account during the 6-month no cost access period after your death (or until your password is reset as set forth below). However, if a registered user’s executor, personal representative or trustee does not have access to the account, or would like to reset a deceased registered user’s password, our Estate and Legacy Transfer Process can be initiated by calling Customer Support and following the steps below.

To obtain access to a deceased registered user’s account or to reset a deceased user’s password:

  1. The caller provides a valid form of government issued ID.
  2. The caller provides a copy of the decedent’s last will nominating him or her as executor or personal representative of the estate, or where applicable, provides a copy of the trust (will substitute) naming him or her as trustee or successor trustee.
    • In either case, the deceased user’s notarized signatures must be present on the documentation supplied.
    • As an alternative, the caller may provide a copy of the court documents which demonstrate that the caller has been appointed as executor or personal representative of the deceased user’s estate.
  3. Executor's Resource will reset the deceased registered user’s account password and supply it to the requestor via email.

To initiate our Estate and Legacy Transfer Process, please call Customer Support at 866-645-6051, Ext. 3.

Please note that in the event you choose to share your password with anyone, or Executor's Resource provides access in accordance with the above process, that action only conveys access to your account information post death, not ownership.

Digital Website Certificate:

A digital certificate is an electronic fingerprint that verifies the identity of a web site to be true and accurate. Digital certificates conform to a world wide standard called X.509 and are based on public key encryption technology and the idea of federated trust. Digital certificates provide a mechanism to verify that when users log into the service, they are logging into the real service and not a spoofed site designed to steal passwords or security tokens. Executor’s Resource uses a 128-bit encryption key length for its Digital Certificate.

Secure Socket Layer (SSL):

SSL is a session-based encryption mechanism based on private key encryption technology that is commonly used to ensure the security of messages transmitted over the Internet. Using SSL, a user can access their account from any browser connected to the Internet and know that all of the information sent to or retrieved from their account will be encrypted.

At Executor’s Resource Inc. we use SSL encryption from the moment you login until the moment you logout.  This ensures that the communication between your internet browser and our system is secured with 128-bit, X.509 compliant encryption. This secure communication mechanism will prevent eavesdropping, sniffing, tampering and message forgery.  On most internet browsers you will notice a padlock icon appear at the bottom when active.

Executor's Resource has chosen VeriSign as its SSL Certificate provider.  You can learn more about VeriSign here. Approximately 99.3% of web browsers will support this level of SSL automatically without your intervention or configuration.

Account Creation and Management:

In order to use our services at Executor’s Resource Inc. you will be required to create an account with us.  You will be asked to provide a username, password, and email address.  Once your account is established you will be able to change and add to your personal information at any time.  You can also terminate your account whenever you choose.  Executor’s Resource Inc. may use techniques to ensure the viability of the username and password including; automatic password change on a specified number of failed login attempts, and sending forgotten usernames only to the registered user's email account.

Secure Storage and Facilities:

The information you enter into our system is stored on a physical disk in an enterprise-class data center.  Access to our servers and their consoles are limited to authorized personnel of the data center.  Access is restricted through locked cages in rooms accessible only through biometric access in a continuously monitored facility that is secured with alarms.  Our servers and your data are located in the United States of America. Our hosting environment is certified as a SAS 70 Type II compliant environment.  You can learn more about ViaWest, the enterprise-class data center that hosts our environment here.
